My time on x so far
X/twitter is a strange place,
you've got conspiracies being made in real time, content policy breaking posts that are wildly liked and distributed,
and people from all sides and walks of life agreeing on things I would have never guessed you could agree on!
My only complaints are two things:
The amount of pornographic content or content selling pornagraphy is out of this world. Very quickly the algorithm recognizes that I don't watch the stuff however and stops feeding it to me every three seconds. Which is the plus side to this issue I guess. Though it still gets peddled in some posts comments.
Another thing: The outlandish conspiracy theories make me question people's reasoning and understanding of life.
I don't know much, but I think I can say that I personally have not witnessed any shape shifting reptiles in my life. I'm not sure if this is a satirical belief or a real one.
The unsurprising
The AI videos being brandished as real. It will be something inane like a freak accident but it's purely AI. Or something innocent and silly. The amount of people that fall for these are scary, but its not surprising, AI is very good now. I don't think X is the only platform with this particular issue though.
Conclusion:
it's an interesting platform, I like the silly memes and that there are a wide variety of people actually using it, which makes it so that it doesn't feel like much of an echo chamber.
