Searching for Island Topics

I seem to have luck with being stuck in between demographics. In odd areas where I don’t truly belong in one place or the other.
I like technology as a topic of conversation, but the demographic that often converses about tech is nothing like mine. I’m like a ship out on a voyage, traveling to new islands (topics) only to find that the native islanders are too different from me. So I go exploring again, hoping to find people that I can converse with about topics that I find fun or enjoyable.
One day, I go to the island of linux, except that the islanders are aggressive natives that speak in jargon.
Onward, because this is not my island.
