SHARPE INTRO
Appreciation post for the intro song to the Sharpe's series.
It's a historical fiction series but a good one on the main character Sharpe in the Napoleonic wars. Though most of the TV series focuses on the British campaign in Spain and Portugal.
The song's origin is not in the series, rather, the original song is from the 1700s and tells the tale of the wars at the time.
The song makes me shed a tear sometimes, when I think of soldiers dying in far away wars and never coming back home.
